Wrap yourself up and get cosy …  this winter showcases the toastiest trends. As I sit in my living room gazing out the window I am warmed by the falling leaves of autumn passing and the vibrant sunny hues that are immerging and it seems that I am not the only one!!!

As a Personal Stylist, this winter I see an array of warm sunny hues of Rust, Bright Reds, Mustards and lovely Creamy Neutrals mixed in with an animalistic edge…

Upon visiting my favourite vintage stores, my local and not ahhhh so local shopping malls, I have discovered a re-immergence of 70’s style reworked … of Sequins A-la- Studio 54, as seen in Dotti, Sportsgirl, Supre & the likes of JAG.  In the form of elegant dazzling tank tops, pretty little jackets & sweet sparkly accents, from shoes and accessories via Wanted Shoes & Lovisa accessories.

I find, however, that I am going on a journey through the fashion eras gone by, from the glamour and fur of the 1930’s, fabulous cloche hats, sumptuous draped gowns in luxurious silken fabrics.  Through to the vibrant age of the glorious 50’s - cinched in waistlines, full skirts and tiny socks with shockingly bright shoes. Marvellous bold floral prints that blow your mind each way you look.

I have fallen back in love with the golden age with long halter neck maxi dresses channelling Miss Marilyn Monroe (courtesy of Forecast “Chloe” Halter dress in coral or purple $99 @ forecast), fantastical bright Stiletto shoes (Peeptoe “Miss Soho” Dark Jade, Fluro Pink & Coral) and a selection of flashy bind boggling graphic prints.

My next step has not been taken yet, however I can foresee the destination of where my next foray will take me …  Denim jackets, hi-top sneakers and garish ethnic prints

The moral of this fashion stylist story? … Karma … in a way … what goes around will always come around again.
