Summer… its well on its way to our shores. 

Bright, Glorious, Heavenly are just a few words to describe this wonderfully warm season.  It can have you running for the razor or gym in a heartbeat…  or in most cases the hottest new swimsuit you can get your sweaty little hands on.  But, and I do not say this without justified self experiences, it can also have you running the opposite direction wishing for the days of cosy layers to swathe those multitude of winter sins in.

Alas, you can unrobe, there is no rule to summer dressing, whilst some may feel comfortable bearing all, we can all have some summer loving all of our very own in classy beachfront attire that reeks retro chic.

The word “Summer” induces in me a feeling of happiness, wellbeing & lazy beach days by the rock pools at Cronulla, and crazy pool parties to blissful afternoons at the favourite bar spot sipping on tasty exotic cocktails.  And with this the splendid variety of cover-up type garments “Kaftans” to be exact, in the most eclectic designs and prints.  They are the Perfect slip on to get you from beach to bar or beach to shops and they look super laidback sexy on everyone.

Another of my absolute favourites is the Cotton Cropped Pant, looking effortlessly classy from brunch to bbq, pair with a gorgeous draping tank and some simple canvas flats for a look that draws all the right types of attention.

So, some may like to raise the hemline “handmade style” in the hotter months, and some raise it above the necessary length of coolness, which is great if you have the pins to pull off that look, however, as this phenomenon is a rarity, I have found “THE PERFECT ALTERNATIVE” to the shaggy denim cut-off, and that is the cuffed short.  It can be a little bit longer and ultra indigo is best for that sweetie retro look, from high waisted to hipster, worn with a simple scoop neck tee or a printed vintage style bustier or even your swimmers for the brave!!

Playsuits are also a very popular choice for the warmer months;
